That production is one of my all-time favorite Broadway experiences. Being a huge fan of the movie "The Boyfriend", I planned a trip to NYC to see "My One and Only" in previews--but the production was shut down and the NY dates pushed. So it was almost a year later when I saw the show in NY and it did not disappoint. I then saw the tour twice--both times with Tune but once with Sandy Duncan and once with Lucie Arnaz. The staging and choreography were dazzling, the entire evening was a delight. My only disappointment in the show is with the OCR, which fails to capture the magic of the show (unlike the similar "No, No, Nanette", which still stands as a recording that truly captures the spirit of the show on stage). I don't think Ashford can hold a candle to Tune as a choreographer, but it does sound like the dances were fun so happy for that. I would love to see a full production with Creel and Foster in the leads.
