| Do you see tours where you live? I assume you are visiting nyc. Rock and Anastasia are touring. Island is not. So you might be able to catch a tour. As for the shows, they are so different that it would be hard to recommend. Island is very uniquely staged and I loved the original and this revival. I’m not a fan of rock movie, so I thought the musical is enjoyable but not that great. However, Clearly there has been a large audience to keep the show running for years. Anastasia is probably the weakest of the three, but I did enjoy it last November when I saw it. The music works for the show and I was entertained for the entire production. | |

| Island is very uniquely staged and I loved the original and this revival. I second this - I have not seen the other 2 shows you are interested in, but the way Once On This Island is presented in this revival is extremely imaginative and unique. I thought a tour had indeed been announced, so if that has changed I'm not aware - but, part of the uniqueness of the staging at Circle In The Square involves how it works in that particular arena-shaped space, and I imagine that it's going to have to be heavily rethought for the tour. (If indeed the tour has been shelved, I imagine this could be one of the reasons why.) I would very much recommend seeing this show in its current setting. |

| Third! Once on This Island is a masterpiece of stage craft that relies upon its exquisite use of the totality of theater and that theater specifically. Not to be missed. | |

| I would agree with the sentiment that Once on This Island would be quite different on tour, while Anastasia and School of Rock probably will not be. I haven't seen Anastasia yet, but will probably see it on tour to save my NY slots for other shows. | |
