| Here's the classic number; while officially taking place at the Christmas party, it is about a turkey (sort of), so it fits for Thanksgiving, which doesn't really have any well-known songs associated with it. | |

| Irving Berlin's "Plenty to Be Thankful For" from the '42 film Holiday Inn, sung (ironically) by Bing Crosby (on a recording) to himself while trying to eat Thanksgiving dinner. | |

| There's also ''Count Your Blessings'' from ''White Christmas'' (1954), also written by Irving Berlin and sung by Bing Crosby. Berlin says his doctor inspired the song. The songwriter had insomnia, and his M.D. advised him to ''count his blessings,'' instead of complaining. |

| I am shocked that no one has mentioned the best of all - "Bless This House" words by Helen Taylor, music by Bay Brake. Here is Mahalia Jackson and Perry Como. Many years ago there was a fantastic arrangement sung by several members of the cast of All My Children. https://youtu.be/es_Q0pC6I4E https://youtu.be/LM-EBnFiI5k |

| "Bless This House" was sung every Friday night at 6:15 on WOR Radio in New York in the 50s and 60s at the conclusion of Lyle Van's newscast "News On the Human Side." The recording was an ornate rendition by the opera singer and actress Gladys Swarthout. As the recording ended, Lyle Van would say,"Ah, the beautiful, soothing Bless This House." Then he would thank Gladys Swarthout and give his usual sign-off "Good night, little redheads ... everyone!" | |

| Ha! I've read that Kelly Bishop said that the cast all needed tons of chiropractic appointments because none of them had neck flexibility like Donna. | |
