I have a friend who saw it at a Writers' Guild screening, went in highly skeptical and ended up loving it.

So happy to hear this - there was so much talk about problems and reshoots etc. months ago but hadn't hear as much recently. I want to like this so badly!

My friend did say that it is considerably darker in tone (more like Travers' original books) than the first movie.
