I wonder, other than being aired on Thurs morning, how is this part of Macy’s thanksgiving parade?

I don't understand. DEH didn't perform live but showed video?

The CBS broadcast never shows live performances of Broadway shows, they are always taped in their respective theaters. Only NBC shows live performances.
