| Once again, today’s matinee of Eve’s song at the Public Theater has been cancelled. To have to cancel so many performances of a limited run play must be devastating for all involved. | |

| J, given how tight my schedule was, and the sad fact that they've had to cancel quite a number of performances even since my preview performance, I'm glad I went for the refund. I do feel terrible for all the issues with this production. Only about two weeks of shows left, right? | |

| They called me - about 3 hours before the start time. They said I could reschedule (not many seats left) or get a refund. | |

| Any further information on what is going on with this show, and why they still haven't hired an understudy/replacement? Are finances that tight at the Public? | |

| As I mentioned the other day, a friend of mine attended the performance on Wednesday evening and said that the playwright (Patricia Ione Lloyd) read the role usually played by de'Adre Aziza. From what I understand, the performances on Wednesday evening and last night are the only ones this week that have actually gone on. I'm not sure if Lloyd performed last night, as well. I have tried to see the show twice and both performances have been cancelled, one of which was yesterday's matinee. Unfortunately due to my schedule I won't be able to see it again. It's really a shame so many performances had to be cancelled during such a limited run. |

| AC, from what I could see online, the best availability opportunity to get tickets is for closing weekend 12/8 & 9. At this point, I'm thinking most people are getting refunds. (I'd like my subway fare back too!) And though it's none of my business, I can't help but wonder what's happened. |

It may not be your business in terms of knowing exactly what has happened, but it is definitely your business to know why provisions haven't been made for an understudy or whatever to allow the show to go on rather than be canceled multiple times. |
