Given Mr. Langella's status as a 3-time Tony winner and overall legend of the New York stage, I hope this query is permissible.
I just revisited Martin Scorsese's brilliant, overwhelming SILENCE for the first time since I saw it in the movie theater 2 years ago. Then as now, I could swear that Frank Langella provides the voice of God -- but I can't find any confirmation of that (or refutation, for that matter -- no credit's given anywhere that I can find).
Anybody know? Or anyone else see the movie who has her/his own opinion on this? |
