| Don Freeman "spent years drawing scenes from Broadway shows, such as this backstage look at 'Carousel.'" His focus in his theater drawings and paintings was the working environment behind the curtain. The show is a survey of Freeman's work so I don't know how much will be devoted to his theater work but it should be worth seeing as Freeman was a witty and empathetic recorder of nyc in the 1940's and 50's. |
