Nothing new.
I remember that as a kid, "Oklahoma" was used in a commercial, though I can't remember for what.
There was a hair color commercial that used the jingle "I'm gonna wash that gray right outta my hair."
Volvo and Mastercard, among others, have used "My Favorite Things."
But, those are fairly tame. How about Vanish toilet bowl cleaner using the jingle "I've got you under my rim" or a famous Sondheim opener becoming "Stove Top Tonight?" Or, Betty Crocker using "Bake Someone Happy?" (Yup, they're all real and on Youtube to boot...) |
