| My thoughts: It's a mixed bag. Yes, a lot of people are preoccupied/busy with Christmas so there's less an audience for some shows; BUT there's a lot of people who come to NYC for Christmas AND a lot of people who do not celebrate Christmas (for example: Jews) looking for something to do. My general thought is you're not going to get deals for family-oriented shows; you may have better luck for deals on more serious offerings or plays. The other variable I would add is that with a lot of shows closing in early January you may be competing with people who always meant to see a closing show or are returning for one last visit. |
