Scandinavian American Theater Company (SATC) celebrates 10-Year Anniversary

Benefit Luncheon and presentation of First Nordic Award to honorees Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Lena Endre

The event takes place at the stunning venue Papillon in Midtown Manhattan. There will be an award ceremony, a special musical performance, food and drinks, and an opportunity to purchase Surprise Gift Boxes.

The annual Nordic Award is in recognition of artists who through their exceptional work have made significant contributions to strengthening the cultural relationship between the Nordic countries. The inaugural Nordic Award 2018 recipients are Danish actor, producer, screenwriter, and playwright Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Game of Thrones) for his contribution to film and television, and Sweden’s Lena Endre (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) for her work as an actor and director in film, television, and theater.

All proceeds from ticket sales, Surprise Gift Box sales, and donations support SATC’s ongoing effort as the only theater company in New York to bring Nordic perspectives to the US.

Nordic Stage
During the same weekend, December 7-9, SATC also presents its highly successfulNordic Stage reading series at The Clurman Theatre at Theatre Row. Thefestival is a collaboration with The Bergman Studio & Dramaten/The Royal Dramatic Theatre in Sweden, Dramatikkens Hus/The Norwegian Centre For New Playwriting, and Mungo Park Theatre in Denmark.
