| I recently watched the Harry Potter plays on Bway. Distracting, however, were the theater size and height of the stage--both are so large that they swallow up the performers. The plays, at their heart, are about personal relationships and that doesn't come across as effectively because of the scale of the space. Is the London theater just as big? |

| Saw Harry in both cities and the theatres seemed the same to me. I was in orchestra both times and everything was perfect. Balcony in both places could be less intimate. Happy to mention in New York I won the lottery and sat in the third row. Seeing it in N.Y. the second time I felt like I was back on the West End, since everything was the same. | |

| i think Orch is pretty good for the show especially with the vaulted ceiling makes it feel like the set is closer. If you were in the balcony, there's not much that can be done because it is far away from the stage. | |

| Looking at a couple of different websites, the Lyric proscenium was said to be, before the Potter renovation, 40 ft wide and 30 ft high. The Palace in London was measured in 1960 as 33 ft 8 in wide and 34 ft high. BTW, in the renovations for Potter the Lyric seating was cut from about 1900 to about 1500, to "increase intimacy and enable the deceptively simple (but massively complex) design from the London show to be seamlessly transferred to Broadway." It's still a big house based on Broadway examples albeit not large compared to many road houses. | |

| The Palace Theatre is smaller. The stage is also smaller. If you look closely at the pictures of the set from London and Broadway, you can tell. Anyone who sees the show in both venues should be able to notice the differences. The lyric is much wider, with slightly wider seats and aisles. | |
