Also, the stories of Bono, Camilletti, and Allman are fairly finite as far as when and how their story intersect with Cher's story. Presumably, none of these men are a current or future part of Cher's life (Bono is, of course, dead), but her children will always be a part of her life in a story that never ends, so it makes a certain amount of sense to just drop anything regarding them, rather than try to tell brief snatches of their stories and risk offending by going too far or not far enough or getting the tone wrong or whatever.

And I would think that it's either all or nothing with the kids. Either you include them and suddenly the show becomes about Cher as a mother, shifting the focus from the idea of Cher as SUPERSTAR, or you leave them out entirely and focus on the icon at the center. Like most parent/child relationships, it seems that Cher has had her ups and downs with both her kids and once you go down that road, the show becomes a very different thing.
