"But she's not a prostitute, she's a successful courtesan or a Demi-Mondaine, a valuable person to know within a valuable social network and as such she is granted a genuine social status which entails respect and tact, if she stays in her own world and doesn't mess with the world of bourgeois marriage. That's what Germont, the father, is doing in the second act ball scene. He's pointing out to his son that Violetta is accorded respect, within the realm of her own world."

Absolutely, BUT Germont would still never bring his daughter to Violetta's home or to the ball at Flora's, because he does not want her mixing in the world of courtesans to any extent whatsoever.
