I posted this here years ago, but in the lyrics to I enjoy being a girl, Linda Low sings "I'm a girl and BY ME that's only great. By Me is a yiddishism (Bei mir Bist Du Schoen-By me you're pretty). Unlike Mei lei, who is straight off the Boat, Linda Low is assimilated(easily?) and she assimilates via show biz, and of course picks up Yiddish phrases......... So even in a joke song, OH still works in character observations,.....FDS album was one of my childhood favorites and I still enjoy the OBCA
