|I guess if you think the world only works according to your expectations of it, rather than according to measurable facts, then my opinion of what Erivo said would be the determining factor in whether we can talk about an objective situation such as her career.
You do not have one shred of evidence to support your feeling that the controversy around "Harriet" was in any way related to "Great Comet", but that doesn't matter to you. You don't have any basis to say that her career is suffering, but that also doesn't matter to you. You just make up facts to suit yourself.
As for her comments on "Great Comet", I am curious why you think the words "Mandy is a wonderful man, Oak is a wonderful man, this has been handled badly. Ticket sales shouldnt override a person doing his job" are highly ignorant and tremendously damaging. That was the tweet that you write about with such anger.
"This has been handled badly" isn't much in the way of a criticism. I can see the argument that "ticket sales shouldn't override a person doing his job" is an arguable statement, from the perspective of theater being a business, but I have a hard time tossing around the words "highly ignorant" when we're talking a black woman expressing her opinion. But hey, different strokes for different folks. I just don't see anything in her words to inspire your rage, or the rage of all of the other people who want to blame the closing of major Broadway musical on one tweet.
