Will my elderly old-school relative like Oklahoma? (Spoilers are fine)

I have an elderly relative who loves seeing old-school Broadway shows but definitely is more into production numbers than character studies. I think she would have been bored by The Band’s Visit, for example. I’ve heard a lot about how the new Oklahoma is not the traditional Oklahoma but not much detail as to what exactly that means. Could someone explain what it is about the new Oklahoma that is so different? I realize it’s impossible to know whether a stranger will like anything, but do you have a sense of whether someone like her would enjoy it? Thanks in advance!
