People have made reasonable arguments on both sides. Can you point to some of these photos of black men on trial, or an effective search for them? I've tried a couple of times and haven't found much. I've linked to one of the Scottsboro boys wearing what looks like a collared shirt and a sweater in a courtroom, but there are photos of the Scottsboro Boys in overalls too. No jackets that I've found.
Evidence would be helpful in this discussion instead of assertion.
