The changes for Cheetah were not revisions, but a couple of cast changes (i.e., Steve Curry replaced Gerome Ragni as Berger (although at the performance I saw at Cheetah, Paul Jabara went on as Berger) and at some point in that run Shelli Plimpton was replaced as Chrissy).
The closing moment may or may not have been altered for Cheetah. I couldn't tell because I couldn't see the stage floor from my seat.
The revisions occurred during the three and a half months between Cheetah and The Biltmore -- many songs added, the book almost totally jettisoned, new director, new designs, etc.
Short version: Public Theatre version and Cheetah were the same production.
