I agree about Dixie Carter.
I didn't love Lansbury as Anna, except for her "Shall I Tell You What I Think of You?", but I loved Michael Kermoyan as the King. I'm very glad to have seen him in the role. He and Towers had played the show together at City Center in 1968.
I'm not a fan of La Cage aux Folles, but the recording I listen to, if I'm going to listen to any of it, is the Australian cast recording with the fantastic Jon Ewing as Albin, and Michell as Georges. |
