| I think when I saw SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE, there were lobby or playbill mentions that there would be strobe lights. I would not have thought that some nudity would possibly cause a patron to have a stroke....It's possible someone seeing a show called CHOIR BOY(I have no idea what the show is about) and expecting Bells of ST Mary's would be disappointed to realize he was seeing a play about clerical sex abuse in the RC church(again.no idea what show is about)......A broadway tourist who comes into Town and buys a ticket 'cold', with no word of mouth from neighbors, could possibly benefit from ratings(The producers OWN hints, not an outside imposition) as with TV shows( e.g.This film contains adult, language, situations; violence and nudity)---On the other hand, some surprises are part of the playwright arsenal, and it can be fun to be surprised in the theater...You don't want to give away surprise endings |
