Aside from the fact that Torch Song ran off-Broadway already.
Yes -- in a successful, often sold-out, several times extended run, at a theater that is not much smaller than the one the production currently occupies. As is often the case, I think a lot of the lack of Broadway success has to do with too-optimistic producers who think an Off-Broadway hit will transfer seamlessly to Broadway with similar results. |
