| You're free to your opinion, but I couldn't disagree more. I thought Mazzie gave a nuanced, thoughtful performance and sang the score well. I have people in my life with bipolar disorder and depression and I recognized them in Mazzie's work. I saw Ripley several times throughout the Second Stage and Broadway runs, and aside from the vocal damage, I felt she resorted to a bag of tricks very quickly. It's all subjective, I suppose. |
