it is an objectively assess-able sample based on both quantity and quality. "People that you and I hear from" does not satisfy either of those criteria. Now if you tell me that you did an extensive survey of social media to determine what the word of mouth is, I think you'd be getting close.
Let me give you an example. I have heard from at least 50 people, maybe closer to 100, their "WOM" regarding King Kong. I think 2 of them liked it "for the puppetry" and the rest did not. The show seated over 10,000 people last week. Somehow I don't think my peeps are providing the word that is getting those folks there. |
