| I don't blame Firth for having to play his part in what is a really stupid, but important plot point in making him inexplicably and maliciously go after this one particular family. even having him stay in the bank until midnight, the last possible minute to ensure that they will lose their home. When do bank presidents stay around that late -- and for one relatively modest property? Kind of absurd, but blame the writers, not Firth. Also, why doesn't Mary Poppins intervene earlier in this matter? Yes, it's for dramatic tension, but it seems like she's a bit of a sadist, holding back the way she does and causing others to risk life and limb. |
