| The two symphonies are available on naxos and I enjoyed them both(tho I've no musical education)Given the MUSIC MAN and MOLLY BROWN, I expected the Americana sound of Aaron Copeland's RODEO, but the symphonies sounded more Russian to me. I took a music appreciation course in school, but all I remember is an assignment where, in the listening lab, where we had to count the number of voices in various fugues. It was, by me, as difficult as high school math. The prof also said we'll be studying music from Rennaisance(sp?) times up to Wagner, WHO destroyed music. | |
