He's undeniably a theater kid, and always has been, but I have a feeling he makes more from a sold out stadium with QUEEN than he would make on Broadway. LiveNation just announced a 23-city North American tour for next year, and after the blowout success of the "Bohemian Rhapsody" film, I'm sure they're prepared to capitalize on the interest in Queen from a new, younger, ticket buying demographic who just discovered the music.
It's hard to imagine plugging Mr. Lambert into a show that's already out there; he deserves more than just a filler role in ROCK OF AGES or even another mounting of HEDWIG. His upper range is such a rare and haunting thing, equally moving in falsetto or a rock scream, and someone needs to write a role for him.
