I really tend to think that this seemingly constant stream of Pop Star:The Musical type shows can only lead to diminishing returns. Whether they're each about one star, or about a star and 2 clones.
Tina's musical career speaks for itself. As does Cher's, as does Donna Summer's, etc. The little bits of their life stories that essentially serve as the transitions from hit song to hit song - is that really interesting enough to see it done in one musical after another after another? Personally, I don't think so. Your mileage may vary. ;-) |
