| I actually listen to the cast recording all the time. I found the show incredibly funny and moving. | |

| I enjoyed the first act a lot, particularly the sharp, funny writing. But in the second act it lost its way. It became trite and earnest, and I very much didn't like the actor playing the out lesbian character (the writing didn't help). And I was really puzzled by how bad the fosse satirical song was. | |

| And actually thought the 2nd act was the stronger of the 2. It’s not a show that would generally be my cup of tea but I enjoyed myself. I agree about the actress playing Emma. It was (in my opinion of course) a pretty one note performance. Definitely recommended it to friends but feel it was just a few tweaks away from greatness. I have revisited the cast recording a few times and find the score immensely listenable. | |
