| Note that this article was published in April, before the enactment of the Music Modernization Act. So the comment on older sound recordings being protected by state law is no longer accurate. They are now subject to federal law, even those released before 1923. | |

| Oh, I imagine I could develop quite a fondness for The Talking Parrot. Especially if it's a murder mystery where the parrot is the one who spills the beans about who did it to Detective Plodder! Why didn't Agatha Christie ever think of that? | |
