It mostly takes place in Russia, with scenes also in Paris and Chicago.
For Alaska, there is the out-of-town closer Bonanza Bound, with book and lyrics by Comden and Green, and music by Saul Chaplin. It ran a week in Philly from December 26, 1947 through January 3, 1948. It left behind an unissued (and decidedly incomplete, just nine songs) RCA cast recording, recorded in Philly because of the impending new Petrillo ban. Later issued on a disc of Comden and Green stuff by some little label. |
