Oregon Shakespeare Festival did a revised version of the standard script a few years ago, but they chose to run it only for the spring season, instead of for the full season. It sold out extremely quickly, and they ended up adding performances.

I thought that the revised version (which was done with an older Scout remembering the action) was somewhat better than the version it replaced, but it had its problems. I’m looking forward to seeing the Broadway version next month during my President’s Day weekend theatre trip.
