I interviewed McIntyre back in 2004, just before he went into ''Wicked'' as Fiyero, and he was so excited about his Broadway debut.
He says he grew up doing lots of community theater with his family in Boston, playing Oliver when he was 6.
His theater credits have included ''tick … tick … BOOM!'' Off-Broadway, and he was Matt in the movie of ''The Fantasticks.''
In 2017, he played Pseudolus (!) in ''Forum'' (in Burbank), sneaking in a few seconds of ''You Got It,'' and reportedly, audiences loved him.
I'm surprised McIntyre hasn't been back on Broadway sooner, but he's a charmer, and I bet he'll be wonderful in ''Waitress.'' |
