| I thought Blue Ridge was fascinating. Subtle and unique dramaturgically, the treatment of the main character is really bold in these times. It focuses on a woman who "hates men," who bashed her boyfriend's car with an axe, who stopped giving "b**w jobs" after the election, etc. All of this earns her the audience's sympathy, and they root for her, sometimes applauding her anti-men lines. And the she destroys everyone in the halfway home's lives because of this hatred. I found it fascinating, and deeply absorbing. (My friends did not) |
