I'm disappointed to hear that there is so much narration. The previous dramatization suffered from the same problem. I was hoping this one would fix that problem. I think that narration tends to not be dramatic and should be used sparingly if at all. I did see that previous adaptation years ago with adults playing the children and it simply did not work.
