I didn't go to the screening of "Holmes & Watson" because the reviews were terrible, but Reilly didn't write or direct that. I'm sure nobody sets out to make a bad film--unless someone producing is the film equivalent of Max Bialystock! "Stan & Ollie" got fine notices and is tracking much higher on the Rotten Tomatoes site. At least there are plenty of Basil Rathbone and PBS versions of Sherlock and Dr. Watson to enjoy instead of the current entry. The audience I saw "S&O" with really were rapt with attention and enjoying the film.
