And also, some people have suggested that ALW purposely does not hire top-quality lyricists, because he wants his music to shine above all and also because he doesn't want a collaborator who's meticulous about his/her craft, for several reasons. I think Glenn Slater is the best lyricist he has worked with in years, so I do give him props for that.
