I too really hated this piece. I fully believe theater can and should powerfully take on current issues. I believe great theater adds depth and insight to current debates in ways that only theater can. But this wasn't theater. It was a lecture. It was self-righteous and self-congratulatory and completely without the nuance that great art could bring to the same discussion. Ugh.
