| The Broadway premiere of AMERICAN SON will conclude its strictly limited engagement on Sunday, January 27. The production stars Emmy, SAG, and Golden Globe Nominee Kerry Washington (“Scandal,” Race), in what The New York Times hailed as a “Great Performance”, Drama Desk Award Nominee Steven Pasquale (“The People Vs. OJ Simpson: American Crime Story,” Bridges Of Madison County), Eugene Lee (Gem of the Ocean), and Tony Award Nominee Jeremy Jordan (“Supergirl,” Newsies). Written by Christopher Demos-Brown and directed by Tony Award winner Kenny Leon (A Raisin in the Sun, Fences), AMERICAN SON will have completed a 16-week run of 130 performances at Broadway’s Booth Theatre (222 W 45th Street) at the time of closing. AMERICAN SON will be adapted and filmed exclusively for NETLFIX, featuring the original Broadway cast and produced by original Broadway producers Kerry Washington’s Simpson Street, Jeffrey Richards and Rebecca Gold. AMERICAN SON was awarded the 2016 Laurents/Hatcher Award for Best New Play by an Emerging Playwright.
