Directed by Illana Stein, the six-member cast will feature Tony Carlin, Aaron Costa Ganis, Annie Golden, Deborah Rayne, Chet Siegel, and Wendy Rich Stetson. The readings will be held on Monday, January 28 at 3:00 p.m. & 7:00 p.m., and Tuesday, January 29 at 4:00 p.m. For more information, please email victoria@PSTheatricals.com. After serving a 10-year prison sentence, Kat returns to the scene of events that changed the course of her life. As she searches for a way to make peace with her past, new revelations and unexpected reunions clash with her long-held memories of childhood. Chasing the River is about survival, second chances, and making a bet on the healing power of love. The creative team includes Arthur Solari (Composer & Sound Design), Robert Wesley(Movement Choreographer), Kate Farrington (Production Dramaturg). BIOS Jean Dobie Giebel (Playwright) has directed Off and Off-Off Broadway productions including works at The Mint Theater, Pulse Ensemble Theater, The New 42nd Street Theater, Riverside Shakespeare Company, ATA Chernuchin Theater, The Hudson Guild and the 45th Street Theater. As a director and dramaturg, she has developed new works for the Annual Samuel French Original Short Play Festival as well as the Edinburgh International Fringe Festival. She is a professor of Drama at Hofstra University. Chasing the River is her first original full-length play. llana Stein (Director). Some Broadway credits include: Violet, Xanadu, Ah! Wilderness, created the role of George Bukatinsky in the Tony nominated Best Musical The Full Monty. Also, was Sondheim's original Squeaky Fromme in Assassins. Numerous Film and TV credits: Hair, I Love You Philip Morris (opposite Jim Carrey), Baby Boom, Twelve Monkeys, “Law and Order,” “Law and Order SVU,” “Cheers,” “Miami Vice,” “Difficult People” on HULU, and five seasons as Norma Romano on NETFLIX hit series “Orange Is The New Black!” Deborah Rayne (Kat) is a proud graduate of Hofstra University. She is a working actor in NYC, appearing on stage, in films, on TV, in commercials, and voiceovers.
