Movie adaptations are a way that lazy people make lazy theatre, but they are also a way that inspired people make inspired theatre. Making bad theatre is excusable (even important some would say). Bravo to all of the above, especially your last sentence. Or, rather, the only "excuse" for making lazy theatre is as a way to earn money. It frequently doesn't work out that way, but unfortunately, sometimes it does -- big time. See MAMMA MIA! |
