| I think this is the show where apparently Blitzstein was in the back of the audience, and a departing audience member leaving early asked if he wrote it. Blitzstein acknowledged that he was the composer, and the man punched him! The show is also covered in "Not Since Carrie", and it sounds like it was a difficult show for audiences to sit through. I think there are some songs from it that are occasionally on YouTube. You mentioned Boston audiences; I wonder if NY audiences responded differently? |
