| I'm going to rate them in the words of the six wives of Henry VIII The Band - Divorced Kinky Boots Final Performance - Live Live! Snow White - Survived Magic Mike Live - Beheaded Les Miserables - Died Aspects Of Love - Divorced Company - Survived Everybody's Talking About Jamie (with Luke) - Live Live Live! Tina: The Musical - Live! Hamilton - Beheaded Fiddler On The Roof - Survived Caroline, Or Change - Died The Inheritance Part 1 - Live! Everybody's Talking About Jamie (with John) - Live! Six - Divorced, Beheaded, Died. Divorced, Beheaded, Survived and Live, Live Live! The purpose of my trip was to see Oliver as Charlie in the final performance of Kinky Boots and he's such a trooper he performed brilliantly albeit missing a few performance prior to the final due to illness. My trip was to end with Michelle Visage in Jamie but after speaking with her I decided to see her twice. Really emotional day over there as this is the last night before the cast changes over. The surprises in my time there is how powerful the punch is at the end of the first part of The Inheritance and how weak the second part is in comparison. Six was also a big surprise as the "ear worms" are numerous and the 75 minute performance is brilliant. I could Six multiple times if I live in London. Big disappointment were Les Miserables and Caroline, Or Change. Also, the female leads in Hamilton are for me the weakest I've ever scene. I saw the understudies in September and they were amazing. And Aspects Of Love, no matter how brilliant the cast is, as well as the score, it still ends up tedious and without merit. |
