"We live in a world that increasingly functions (and thinks) digitally. In that world, the psychic benefits of holding paper (which is her "excuse" for wanting one) is just a bit too quaint. If you really need it that bad, then print it out yourself before you come to the theatre."
I do not see what's disingenuous. In that world that is increasingly digital, paper is old fashioned. Do you disagree? I have a friend who is a poet who types poetry (onto paper!) on a manual typewriter. Is that old fashioned? You bet it is. Am I condescending when I say that? I think not. Am I negative? Well, I don't embrace the old fashioned and I encourage folks to embrace technology and the digital world. That's my opinion and I view it the same as any other. All opinions are negative to those who have differing ones. If I don't like King Kong, my opinion is negative vis-a-vis its fans. I don't think that's a controversial notion. |
