| While John Weidman has written the books of some musicals I didn't care for, he did write two of my favorites: ASSASSINS and PACIFIC OVERTURES. Both of these shows have books that are illuminating, powerful, funny and unforgettable. Great drama, great musical theatre and great history (especially since they both prompted me to read a lot more about the events depicted). |
