| Aside from looking great in all those Neco wafer colors, Ann-Margert's version of "Got a Lot of Living to Do" is clearly better than the original. Ditto Dick Van Dyke and Janet Leigh dancing with animation for "Put on a Happy Face." And the title song, with A-M running towards the camera? Well, that's what they call star power. BYE BYE BIRDIE may well have survived as long as it has, like GREASE, because people love the movie and have seen it time after time. Show purists take note. Oh, and the finale with Russian dancers always makes me laugh. |
