Critics Pick. And if I may add...
Attended last Saturday. I can still summon goose bumps thinking about Benanti's phrasing and operatic tones. And timing. (Her "They done the old lady in" crossed delightfully into Melania territory.)
Loved Christian Dante White as Freddy Eynsford-Hill. Saw him for the first time as the understudy for Cornelius Hackl in last year's Dolly revival. Very much look forward to seeing his next work.
And can Danny Burstein do anything wrong? Not here.
Oh. And Rosemary Harris delivers a master class on comic timing.
