| One of my problems when seeing the original show during previews was that it seemed frozen at Mr. Larson's death; it seemed incomplete with little fragments of scenes still there as though no one should touch it since he wasn't around anymore to give input. It clearly looked to me as though it could have used some editing, certainly in the libretto, but I guess they were going for it being kind of rough and edgy in its not being "refined" and cleaned up. So I'm surprised that the family and others involved with the original show allowed changes to be made for TV. |
