I do appreciate the gesture they are trying to make. Certainly.
BUT - it seems to me that usually when these kind of "we'll donate something for every appearance of [whatever]" deals are suggested, it's not a set number. In this case, the production knows exactly, truly exactly, how many "visible guns" there will be.. So why this particular way of making the offer instead of just saying "we're donating X amount of money each night" etc? To me, basing the donation on the already known quantity of guns seems rather gimmicky and odd. (I mean, it would sorta be like a production of Annie donating money every time Annie says "Aw, gee" lol.)
Also, not that I'd say that Oklahoma is overtly a pro-gun story, but neither is it anti-gun. So it also seems like a bit of an odd choice in that way.
But, as I said, I do appreciate the gesture in general. |
