It sounds like a disappointing experience -- as disappointing as watching the telecast on Fox with SO many commercial breaks. I have two questions:
I assume the audience we viewed on TV was the audience from the Saturday rehearsal taping (except for the last 15 minutes when the show went live) and not the live audience that you were in. Am I correct? The applause and audience screaming never seemed to match the camera pans of the audience (who often were not clapping or cheering when the camera focused on them) and sounded like canned applause? What are your thoughts?
Also, whenever the camera scanned the audience I was surprised that there were NO people of color visible in the audience at all. That seems so strange for a show about inclusion with a racially diverse cast. What were your impressions of the audience? |
